dylog records speech and files it into notes. This page says what we hold, and what stays on your machine.

Account

Sign-in is a phone number and a one-time code. We store that number, a session token, and the name or email you add. Shop membership can copy a name from ArrayBud. We do not sell this, and we do not run ads.

Microphone

Record and Dictate use the microphone. The phone app also uses it for screen-off capture when you start a recording. You can stop at any time. You are responsible for telling other people in the room.

Notes

On Windows, notes and audio stay on that PC unless you turn on cloud library. On the phone site and the Play app, a signed-in library lives on our servers (Cloudflare): note text in a database, audio in object storage. Team boards share tasks and projects only — never notes, transcripts, or audio.

Cloud thinking

If you pick Cloud, speech and notes can go to the model dylog uses to file, transcribe, search, or answer. On this PC can keep that work local. Agents reach notes through an MCP key you mint. Raw audio to an agent is off unless you turn that permission on.

What you connect

Google, Drive, GitHub, Jobber, and calendar feeds only after you connect them. We read what those doors need to show jobs and files. Jobber is read-only except disconnect. Drive and GitHub follow the folders and repos you pick.

Phone to a PC

The old companion path still exists. A six-character code pairs the phone to a Windows session. Clips pass through a short-lived relay and are dropped once the PC has them, or the session ends.

Billing

Paid cloud library is billed by Stripe. Stripe sees what it needs to charge. We see that the account is paid, not your full card number.

Logs

Servers keep short operational logs (IP, time, path) to run the service and stop abuse. Desktop updates check a version number.

Your choices

Children

dylog is a work tool. It is not for children under 13.

Changes

If what leaves the device gets wider, we change this page and the date at the top.
